I don't usually post rumors on my blog... but this one has the earmarks of being true. Rumor has it that a plane took off from Guantanamo a few hours ago with an unknown number of the Algerian detainees heading back to Algeria. My second client is Algerian Razak Ali. I hope he is on that plane.
Well it is always good to be reminded why you should not report rumors. The plane has not left the ground and the rumor has been refined: negotiations are under way to send an unknown number of Algerians home but have not been finalized. (This rumor has been floating around for about two months so I will not hold my breath.)
