Rear Adm. Richard W. Butler, will be assigned as
commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo, U.S. Southern Command, Guantanamo Bay,
Cuba. Butler is currently serving as deputy director, Air Warfare Division,
N98B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
Rear Adm. John W. Smith Jr., will be assigned as
commandant, Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University, Norfolk,
Va. Smith is currently serving as commander, Joint Task Force Guantanamo,
U.S. Southern Command, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
As one of my astute colleagues noted (hoped?) perhaps Butler will have better luck reining in Army Col. Bogdan or at least make him drink the water publicly.......
