Today the House of Commons will debate Guantánamo and the fates of nine British residents being held there. According to the Guardian, Liberal Democrat MPs have condemned Tony Blair's government's refusal to offer consular assistance UK residents detained in the camp.
Said MP Ed Davey, "these men have been held for over four years without trial. It's ironic that during their detention the House of Commons threw out Tony Blair's own attempt to introduce 90-day detention without trial."
