Well I am laying blame.... updated...

Just back from another trip to our hell hole ...so let me just say one thing... if we do not bring these war criminals to justice then we should just stop using the word (justice) in this country....

There is so much to be said about so many aspects of this whole horrible mess, primarily, I think, regarding the morality as opposed to the legality.

But the overriding thing I keep coming back to every time I hear someone endeavoring to impose some fine legal distinction between one technique and another is this:
OF COURSE IT'S TORTURE. OTHERWISE WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY BE DOING IT?

You don't waterboard someone to provide him with a simulated day at the beach. You do it to torture information out of him or to inflict extra-judicial punishment whether for alleged crimes or some infraction of your precious rules.

Once you understand that, all the rest is complete crap.
