Ron Suskind's "The Way of the World"
If you have not read Ron's book then you do not have the whole story about what I have been doing to try to get my clients out ofGuantanamo. Ron kept up with my activities and even followed me around on occasion to get the full story... then he weaved my story in with the stories of other individuals who are concerned with the direction of the United States. I recommend the book to all of you out there who also care about the direction that the US has gone these past eight years and want to work to change things.

Thanks very much for that reference, Candace.
We can't know but we suspect that the Obama administration would be relieved to have a serious request from Ottawa to repatriate Khadr, and would figure out a way to do that. Omar is still at GTMO because Stephen Harper wants him there, out of what seems to me sheer neocon ideological perversity. The SCC should have a chance to pressure Harper again in coming months, but not soon enough to stop the commission.
What can I say? It is most frustrating.
