THE NUMBER OF MEN TO BE HELD INDEFINITELY-WITHOUT CHARGE or TRIAL- HAS INCREASED
The Bush Obama administration has just increased the number of men to be held indefinitely without charge or trial by approximately 15 men (it might be 18 but it is too hard to figure that part out because of the way the government released the information). The reason for the increase is the simultaneous decision to not go ahead with military commissions for these men- because they do not have sufficient evidence to convict the men in a military commission hearing.
