Harold Pinter RIP

In his lecture after receiving the Noble Prize in Literature in 2005 he spoke these words:

"The invasion of Iraq was a bandit act, an act of blatant state terrorism, demonstrating absolute contempt for the concept of international law."

"How many people do you have to kill before you qualify to be described as a mass murderer and a war criminal? One hundred thousand?".

hey H. Candace Gorman!

Its really nice to see your blog. You are working on line which descriminates light from dark.I came to know about you from a book by Ron Suskind.Don't you think that problem exists at both ends. Mr Bush and his team has committed many misdeeds just for the sake of their political gains. If his attack on Iraq was his personal will than how will i differentiate him from Osama. He also kills people for personal gains.I would like to give refrences of two recently published books which unveil the ugly and terrorist face of Mr. Bush.

“The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism” by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind."
President Bush committed an impeachable offense by ordering the CIA to to manufacture a false pretense for the Iraq war in the form of a backdated, handwritten document linking Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, an explosive new book claims.

To further reveal the gruesome face of Bush I would like to cite words of another book. Book is written by former White House press secretary Scott McClellan, titled “What happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.”
He writes “Over that summer of 2002, top Bush aides had outlined a strategy for carefully orchestrating the coming campaign to aggressively sell the war. . . . In the permanent campaign era, it was all about manipulating sources of public opinion to the president’s advantage.”
The former Secretary of State, Mr. Powell, had written, simply and candidly and without anger that "the world is beginning to doubt the moral basis of our fight against terrorism."
An another instance of involvement of US establishment is obvious .An ex-Republican congressman from Michigan, Mark Deli Siljander lobbied for a charity that sent funds to al-Qaeda and Taliban supporter Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.

I am a simple muslim like millions in Islamic world who hate Osama but there is no reason for us to love people like Bush...I really weep when i read books like the way of world.

Thank you for the thoughtful message. This of course is one of the biggest ironies and tragedies of our criminal president... he has made the US worse than those who are our enemies... What Osama did was criminal and Bush responded by showing he could be an even worse criminal.
